Introduction to CPAS training unit

The specialized engineering training course is one of the main engineering units in the Center of planning and architectural studies.
It works in cooperation and coordination with the other units in preparing and organizing the training courses for the engineers from different specializations: urban planning, architecture, structural engineering, sanitary, civil engineering, project management, economic feasibility studies and pre-investment studies in Egypt and abroad.
The specialized training unit prepares programs and the time schedule of the scientific engineering annual training courses in the Center premises during the morning and evening sessions, in cooperation with the Center experts. It is concerned with the promotion of the programs with the organizations, institutions and individuals in Egypt and abroad through the advertisement in the different means of media. The unit prepares, for this reason, pamphlets that explain the aim of each course, its engineering subjects and the lectures titles to be sent to the concerned authorities in Egypt and abroad. It also has a rich list of the names and addresses of different concerned authorities in the world. The unit is registered in the United Nations for human habitation and other international organizations sponsoring the training activities of the world.

The scope of work

The scope of work of the specialized engineering training unit is divided into 3 levels. The first is concerned with the preparation of the specialized engineering training courses in the Center. It advertises for the courses in Egypt and abroad. The second prepares the specialized engineering training courses outside the Center but in Egypt according to the requirements of the respective authorities sponsoring these specialized courses. The third is confined to the engineering training courses requested by the sponsoring foreign authorities abroad, whether these courses are held in the Center premises in Cairo or in any place requested by the sponsoring authorities. The training unit makes use of the international and local experiences and the scientific references.
The training course is held in the Center conference hall that is air-conditioned and equipped with audio – visual means of illustration,  a video and a television screen … Specialized scientific visits are organized to take place in between the training courses according to the course programs in order to cover the practical aspects. The unit has acquired long experiences in the field of training. The engineering training courses may be sometimes modified in order to become an integral part of the engineering educational programs for many foreign universities, the case that adds a new dimension to the unit activity in training the students of the final year of the planning, architecture, civil departments in Egypt and abroad.

Computer Courses

The course aims to raise the efficiency of engineers and increase their productivity through two specialized courses to introduce the trainee to the potential of the program directed to produce two-dimensional paintings in the form of horizontal projections, interfaces, executive drawings, etc.

The aim of the course is to raise the efficiency of engineers and increase productivity through a specialized course for the process of building the building in the third dimension vacuum and work binoculars

The course aims at introducing the trainee to how to draw and color the different architectural plots in an attractive way that explains the design idea and helps in drawing it closer to the client by putting colors, shades and finishing materials closer to the truth than it has the most impact on the owner of the project. Among the general public

The course aims at getting the trainee to create a closer picture of the building. He learns how to put the different materials of the building elements. He also learns how to put the appropriate lighting for the desired picture, adding natural backgrounds to the building that increases the reality of the final product of the trainee. The building to help the architect to recognize the dimensions and aesthetics of the building from all directions and modify or improve what he deems appropriate

Raise the efficiency of engineers by exploiting the capabilities of the computer to create in the engineering drawings, through which the production of designs, whether two dimensions or three dimensions or models or video clips of the project as soon as possible. This program outperforms its capabilities for other programs and can run under Mac OS X and Windows as well as on networks where the project is working on the same file for more than one engineer at a time on his machine

It is a program for the structural analysis of the different elements of the building. The analysis is done under the effects of vertical and horizontal loads. The program has evolved from the previous in ease and accuracy of inputting information and obtaining the results. The analysis process is done directly in simplified images, together with the possibility of solving all elements of the building easily, Design of structural elements

The program is used for project planning, management and control. And to calculate the periods of time for the completion of each phase and its cost and return in the form of tables and curves and reports to clarify each stage to achieve the project goal in the time period required and the expected return

To increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the comprehensive development processes and the associated economic, social and urban activities using one of the advanced information systems tools namely Geographical Information Systems (GIS) because of their high efficiency in dealing with information in various components and linking them directly with urban maps. Represent the basis of decision-making processes and build a strong database and information that contributes to the accuracy and speed of the decision-making process, especially with successive variables

Used to identify trainee programs (Word – Excel – PowerPoint) By means of the definition of how to use writing programs, and multiple pages, and the presentation and the subsequent storage of files and printing, etc., and the course aims to teach how to write professionally using the computer, and teaching how to work tables and graphs, To different ways of showing and explaining
